Aquatic area
To cool off, you can take your pick between lounging beside the pool or plunging into the nearby Baume river. With its gentle current, it’s the perfect place for a spot of wild swimming. There’s a fabulous waterpark, where you’ll find a paddling pool for little ones, plus jacuzzis and sunbeds for the grownups. There’s also a busy calendar of year-long aquatic events. Anyone for water polo?

Local area
The lush Ardèche region is in the southeast of France, an area famed for its rolling hills, forests, gorges and centuries-old villages. It’s also home to one of the most celebrated natural wonders in the whole of France – the Gorges de l’Ardèche.
Joyeuse is the closest village. You’ll find it perched on a hill overlooking the Baume river, within the Natural Regional Park of the Monts d'Ardeche. Legend has it, the land was given to a local knight by King Charlemagne in the ninth century as a reward for finding his sword!
