Local area
The lush Ardèche region is in the southeast of France, an area famed for its rolling hills, forests, gorges and centuries-old villages. It’s also home to one of the most celebrated natural wonders in the whole of France – the Gorges de l’Ardèche.
Ruoms is your closest town. You’ll find it in the Lower Vivarais, a celebrated wine-growing region on the banks of the Beaume, Line and Chassezac. Ruoms itself is a joy to wander round, filled with medieval history and character. Why stop at simply sightseeing, though? You’ve come all this way and it would be rude not take a wine tour – or two!
