Gorges du Verdon

A must-see natural wonder

The Gorges du Verdon is a stunning limestone river canyon located between Provence and the French Riviera in the southwest of the country. It’s a region known for its balmy, sunny weather and variety of outdoor pursuits from hiking and kayaking to rafting and paragliding!

Set in the Verdon National Park, the river is 25km in length and with cliffs up to 700m high. It attributes its striking turquoise blue waters to glacial minerals and the full history of this beautiful place can be found at The Prehistoric Museum of The Gorges du Verdon in Quinson.
