The Roland Garros French Open

French Open

The French Open is the only Grand Slam tournament held on clay and is widely considered to be the most physically demanding tennis tournament in the world.

The competition in Paris normally takes place in the last week in May and the first week in June. In 2021, after a qualifying week the Roland-Garros tournament is scheduled to take place from Sunday 23rd May to Sunday 6th June. These dates are to be confirmed - if the pandemic persists, the tournament director Guy Forget has said Roland Garros may make another seasonal shift in 2021. (In 2020 the tournament was moved to September).
