Camping Holidays in The Netherlands
Head to north towards Haarlem and the Circuit Zandvoort next to the coast for some spectacular racing action. It's the event of the year in the Netherlands for all petrol-heads! The track swoops and rolls through the sand dunes and is only a 30 minute train ride outside of Amsterdam.
Open in Spring every year, these world famous gardens are a feast for the senses with over 7 million bulbs in bloom! Spread over 32 hectares the gardens are a great day out for all the family - don't miss the Tulip mania exhibition at the Juliana Pavilion. Children will love the petting farm, maze and playground too. The gardens draw big crowds - if you're looking for a little peace and quiet, it's less busy before 10:30 and after 4pm, when the early morning light and evening sun is perfect for photography.
The annual Flower parade begins at Noordwijk at around 9.30am on the Saturday and finishes in Haarlem at 9pm, passing the popular Keukenhof. 20 fabulous floats and around 40 beautifully decorated cars will travel the 42 kilometres route, treating spectators to a fabulous display of colour and aroma. On Sunday the floats will remain on view in Haarlem until 5pm.
