Every year the town of Carcans hosts ‘Carcan Scene’ where young budding artists from the ages of 8 to 20 show off their talents from music, dance, street arts and circus.
Not forgetting the younger ones, the L'île aux enfants near Hourtin Port hosts the Bambino Party every June, which includes activities for children from the age of 3 months to 12 years and takes place on Ile aux Enfants. 2018 dates to be confirmed.
With gruelling routes covering some of France's most beautifully scenic regions, the Tour de France is an iconic cycle race, attracting huge crowds along the route. The Grand Départ of 2018 takes place on the 7th July starting on the Island of Noirmoutier. The early stages of the race go through the Vendée and Brittany regions. As usual there are exciting mountains stages in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.The races finishes in Paris on the 29th July.
The Biarritz Cup is the most important and oldest French golf tournament in France. Held every July for the last century at the Golf du Phare, it is a high profile event and attracts big crowds.
The Biarritz Surf Festival, held every July, is Europe's biggest watersports event. It is a week long extravaganza drawing in the best professional surfers from across the world. Often attracting more than 200,000 spectators the event is famous for its long board contests, paddle board racing and body surfing amongst others. Every year the festival ‘Rue des Etoiles’ takes place in Biscarosse, where artists, dancers and contemporary circus acts come together to perform. 2018 dates to be confirmed.
