Canoes can be hired from Goumois, Clairbief, Soubey or Tariche for expeditions along the Doubs just across the Swiss border. But no canoodling as river conditions are not always suitable.

If you fancy a brake, Jura is a mountain-bikers paradise, with over 120 marked VTT circuits ranging from easy to ‘Help, mum’. In July and August there’s organised outings around Châlain.
