Camping Holidays in the French Alps

The Alps at a Glance

Visiting The Alps

Flying over the French Alps your view is of beautiful, but forbidding, towering peaks. Yet in these mountains are some of the most famous skiing areas in the world, visited by celebrities and mere mortals, who can’t wait to get on the piste. But snow news is good news, and when the snow melts in spring, the whole area turns into a paradise for walkers, nature-lovers and sports enthusiasts.

Taste The Alps

As with most alpine areas, the food tends to be hearty, though not necessarily heavy. Local specialities include Tartiflette, a potato dish made with the local Reblochon cheese. Or Raclette, where cheese is melted then scraped onto your plate, often accompanied by baked potato, ham and pickles. Wash it all down with Clairette de Die – a sparkling wine to die for.

Explore The Alps

Our parcs at Annecy put all the splendours of the French and Swiss Alps within reach, while our parc at Le Bourg D’Oisans opens up the entire Romanche Valley and the stunning Les Ecrins National Park.

Getting to these Eurocamp parcs for your French Alps holiday is easy, with TGV services running direct from Paris to Annecy. And both Geneva and Chambery airports are within easy reach for those who prefer to fly-drive.
