Novalja is the scene of music festivals throughout the summer.  The action kicks off with the Big Beach Spring Break in late May, followed by the Hideout Festival at the end of June, the Fresh Island Festival in mid July, followed by Loveweek. In August it’s one event after another with the Black Sheep Festival, Barrakud Festival and finally the Sonus Festival.

Pag Town is famous for its summer carnival (it's the oldest in the Adriatic), with events taking place over two days. There is a parade, traditional 'wheel dancing' and a huge bonfire which, according to local belief, should cast away all evil forces for the next year. 2020 dates to be confirmed.
