Lose yourself in Les Ecrins National Park, an outdoor Alpine playground millions of years in the making, with rushing rivers and tumbling waterfalls aplenty.
Sound like an explorer’s paradise? It’s lucky then, that small and friendly Le Belledonne is located on the edge of this French-owned National Park, making it ideal for walking and water sports. An epic spot for keen cyclists, the legendary switchback bends of L’Alpe d’Huez are right on the doorstep! Back on parc you’ll find excellent facilities, including a pool complex and sauna, fitness circuit and volleyball, all complemented by a warm welcome from the friendly managers. There’s a terrace bar beside the pool where you can enjoy a relaxing drink and a restaurant too, and in high season, an ‘animateur’ organises activities for kids.

Direct sailings from Ireland to France are available from Cork to Roscoff with Brittany Ferries, Dublin to Cherbourg with Irish Ferries and Rosslare to Cherbourg with Stena Line.
