Tour de France

With gruelling routes covering some of France's most beautifully scenic regions, the Tour de France is an iconic cycle race, attracting huge crowds along the route. The Grand Départ of 2018 takes place on the 7th July starting on the Island of Noirmoutier. The early stages of the race go through the Vendée and Brittany regions. As usual there are exciting mountains stages in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.The races finishes in Paris on the 29th July.

Pays Ruomsois hosts lots of events during the summer months. For example, in early August there is the ‘Fête des Vignerons Ardéchois’ at Ruoms, which celebrates the wine making traditions of the Ardèche. 2018 dates to be confirmed.

Off Parc Activities

When you are staying in the Ardèche region canoeing is a must because is it a great way to see some beautiful sights you may otherwise miss. There is a watersports centre in Vallon Pont d’Arc which offers excursions and guided trips (you must be 7+ and able to swim 25 m).

This campsite is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside on bike, foot or canoe.
