Visit the island of Burano, famous for its history of lacemaking and brightly-painted fishermen's houses, and Murano, a series of islands famous for glassmaking. Venice must be visited while you're here, recognised by many as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you're looking for a different type of day out, there's Jesolandia, an amusement park catering for all ages, as well as Aqualandia, home to Europe's tallest water slide.

The petrol heads in the group will love Pista Azzurra race track. You can race go karts around the track that a whole host of Formula 1 drivers have practiced on.

Water park

Fancy riding the tallest water slide in Europe? Well it can be found at Aqualandia just 6 km from the parc. But if you don’t have a head for heights then there are plenty of other slides, as well as parrot shows, a circus, mini golf and much more.

Venetian Islands

Sant’Angelo is perfectly placed for helping you to discover Venice and the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. It is easy to get to Venice if you take a ferry from Punta Sabbioni and you can then get around on waterbuses.

Burano is famous for its exquisite lace and the brightly coloured fishermen’s houses. And if you manage to have some pictures left on your camera then you can get snap happy on the lovely island of Torcello – a particularly fascinating deserted Roman island with an empty piazza and lovely 7th century church, the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta.

Murano glass

If you visit Murano you are sure to be impressed by the glass making. There are lots of fine shops selling ornaments and jewellery, perfect for a souvenir, and there is an excellent museum introducing you to the craft and the area’s history.
