Sightseeing

Visit the island of Burano, famous for its history of lacemaking and brightly-painted fishermen's houses, and Murano, a series of islands famous for glassmaking. Venice must be visited while you're here, recognised by many as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you're looking for a different type of day out, there's Jesolandia, an amusement park catering for all ages, as well as Aqualandia, home to Europe's tallest water slide.

If you fancy being the next Lewis Hamilton then follow in his footsteps and race around Pista Azzura, one of the world’s most important go-karting tracks. This attraction is situated close to ‘Jesolandia’ amusement park which will also whizz you into a frenzy. It is open from 8 pm so you will be dazzled by the bright lights as you whirl around on the rides.

Venice is one of the hotspots of sightseeing in the whole world. It is easily accessible from this parc - the best way to get there is to take a 30 minute boat trip from Punta Sabbioni which is just 8 km from the parc.

Aqualandia

Feel the water soak your senses at Aqualandia. It has one of the tallest slides in Europe which is sure to make everyone's toes curl. But you could also take time to relax at this water park because there are lots of fun shows and soothing pools on offer. 

Burano

Murano and Burano

You must visit the enchanting islands of Murano and Burano - islands you will never forget. Murano is a series of islands famous for glassmaking, a craft you can learn all about at the ‘Museo del Vetro’. You can buy some exquisite glass objects and jewelry for all your friends to admire in the vast array of shops in Murano. Burano is famous for its lace which the fishermen’s wives make sat outside their brightly coloured homes.

The summer season in Cavallino is started with a bang with the ‘Sagra dea Sparasea’ asparagus festival held annually on the 1st May. The delicacy is proudly displayed and sampled and concerts, parades, horses and markets accompany the festival.

The Palio Remiero rowing race has become an eagerly awaited event in Cavallino-Treporti.  A whole month full of events and festivals with 12 local districts competing in races and celebrating local traditions. 2020 dates to be confirmed.

Pellestrina Regatta

The Pellestrina Regatta is one of the 120 regattas of the Venetian rowing season, and coincides with the colourful feast of the Madonna dell'Apparizione. Spectators can enjoy all the action from the luxury of the shore of the island. 2020 date to be confirmed.

Beach on Fire, Cavallino

One of the most eagerly awaited events of the summer! The 13km stretch of coastline at Cavallino Treporti is lit up by thousands of fireworks launched from 10 'stations', making this the longest firework display in the world. An incredible breathtaking spectacle enjoyed by over 200,000 visitors each year. From Punta Sabbioni to the Cavallino Lighthouse, you can watch the display from the beach, or from the sea on board a boat. It's officially amazing! The event normally takes place on the last Saturday in August - 2020 date to be confirmed.

Regata Storica, Venice Historical Regatta

This, the main event in the annual 'Voga alla Veneta' rowing calendar has been practiced in Venice for thousands of years. 16th Century style boats and gondoliers clad in period attire sail up the Grand Canal in a colourful parade before the actual races begin. There are four races - the most exciting being the Campioni su Gondolini where a series of small racing gondolas fly down the Grand Canal to the finishing line at the 'machina', the spectacular floating stage situated in front of the Ca' Foscari palace.

Burano Regatta

Burano Regatta

The last Venetian regatta of the season takes place around the island of Burano which you can easily reach from Venice via boat in mid September. The event usually begins late in the afternoon - around 4pm. The regatta is visible from land (particularly from the ferry point on Burano), allowing you to take in the wonderful views of gondolas and mascarete with ease. You can easily reach Venice by the ferry from the port of Punta Sabbioni. 2020 dates to be confirmed.

Off Parc Activities

Right next to the parc there is a private sandy beach with windsurfing and pedalos for hire. You can also hire canoes, rowing boats and dinghies less than 10 km from the campsite.
